Blue Brick
Outside our bedroom window. This single blue brick makes me wonder if the stone mason intended it as an amulet to protect against the evil eye?

Mom & Dad had 7 kids. Our activities were not limited to the floor - we used all available space, vertical as well as horizontal. We often heard Mom pleading "will you all please just land?" I'm still trying to figure out whether I want to land, and now Mom likes the way I play.

- Beekeeping finally got me on the road to being the person I'd like to be. I stopped beekeeping in 2023, in an effort to be kinder to my body, and to native pollinators. I'm still on the road to being a better person, this time with help from different bees.

hmmm. We once had a crabby neighbor who constantly gave us the evil eye (to say the least). I put hearts in our windows facing his house. Finally, he moved and the best neighbor ever moved in.
I certainly don't know what kind of relations you have with your neighbor...
...but consider that blue brick a good reminder of the possibility that beyond a wall there may be nothing but a beautiful endless peaceful, clear blue sky.
