Now, Nevada steps up, and Maya gets on board

Last night Nevada did the right thing and over-rode the governor's veto of the domestic partnership law.

The measure still falls far short of conveying all the protections of legal marriage, but is another step on the march toward full equality.

And thank you Maya Angelou, for demonstrating that the assumption that people of color do not support equal rights for gay and lesbian people is pure bunk.

Don't know if you've read about the whole "Dick Cheney backs same-sex marriage" thing. Very interesting...
